These terms govern your use of Myles, a web application for planning truck routes and estimating lane costs, available at runmyles.com and operated by Myles Inc. ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Myles, you agree to these terms.
Myles calculates truck-legal routing distances, drive time, estimated tolls, operating costs, margin, per-state fuel tax accrual and Hours of Service planning figures, based on the lane you enter and the cost inputs you provide.
Myles produces estimates, not authoritative figures. Read section 5 before relying on any number it gives you for billing, tax filing, driver scheduling or regulatory compliance.
You need an account to use Myles. We sign you in by emailing a single-use link; there is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us at support@runmyles.com if you believe someone else has gained access.
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. One account is for one business; do not share credentials with people outside your organisation.
The 14-day trial exists so you can evaluate Myles before paying. Because of it, we do not give refunds for partial subscription periods, including periods you did not use. If something has gone genuinely wrong, email support@runmyles.com and we will look at it in good faith.
This section matters more than any other, so it is written plainly.
You are responsible for verifying any figure before you rely on it to price freight, bill a customer, pay a driver, file a tax return or schedule a trip.
Do not: resell or redistribute Myles output as a competing service; scrape, bulk-extract or systematically download the underlying reference data; attempt to bypass authentication, billing or usage limits; or use Myles in a way that breaks the law or the terms of the third-party data providers we rely on. We may apply reasonable usage limits to protect the service.
Myles, its software, design and compiled reference data remain ours. You keep ownership of the data you enter, such as your saved places, cost profile and the lanes you look up. You grant us the limited right to process that data in order to operate the service.
We aim to keep Myles available and accurate but do not promise uninterrupted service. Myles depends on third-party providers for routing, mapping, email and payments, and their outages will affect it. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and will not charge for periods after it stops.
You may stop using Myles and cancel at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, fails payment, or is used in a way that risks the service or other users. Where practical we will tell you first.
Myles is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost freight, detention, fines, penalties, tax liabilities or interest, however caused. Our total liability for any claim relating to Myles is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use Myles after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that state.
